Ly Tran is a Professor in the School of Education, Deakin University.

Her research focuses on international education, international students, the education-migration nexus, international graduate employability, Australian student mobility to the Indo-Pacific, and internationalisation of higher education in Vietnam.

She is the project lead for the Best Practice in International Student Engagement Project, funded by the Australian Government Department of Education, Skills and Employment (DESE), to support the implementation of the Australian Strategy for International Education 2021-2030.
